On the afternoon of December 22, 2025, the Department of Accounting at the Faculty of Business and Management successfully hosted a guest lecture in T1-302-R1. FBM had the honor of inviting Professor Chen Chen from Monash University, Australia, to deliver a lecture titled "Hiring and then Firing? Corporate Hiring Under Capital Market Pressure" where he shared his latest research findings with the faculty.

Before the lecture began, Professor Adolf Ng, Dean of FBM, presented a commemorative gift to Professor Chen on behalf of FBM, extending a warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude for his visit and academic contributions.
During the lecture, Professor Chen provided a comprehensive explanation of how capital market pressure influences corporate hiring decisions. He elaborated on the research motivation, design, sample selection and data, findings, and conclusions, offering an in-depth overview of his latest discoveries in the interdisciplinary field of accounting, finance, and management.

In the subsequent Q&A and discussion session, several professors actively raised questions, to which Professor Chen responded with insightful and professional answers from multiple perspectives. The interaction was dynamic, the discussions were in-depth, and the atmosphere was highly engaging, fostering a strong sense of academic exchange.
