About the Speaker:

Dr. Mi Lin joined UIC in 2019 after teaching in the UK. He has taught courses such as Econometrics, Quantitative Research Methods, and International Macroeconomics and Finance at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr. Lin has published in World Economy, International Review of Financial Analysis, International Review of Economics and Finance, and Public Choice, covering topics related to FDI, herd mentality in stock market, and Chinese economy. He has supervised dissertations at undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels. He currently teaches Principles of Macroeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Asian-Pacific Economies, and Money and Finance in China at UIC.
