Department of Accounting

The Department of Accounting (DAcc) hosts nearly 1,200 undergraduate students. The faculty consists of 18 full-time members, including 4 associate professors, 8 assistant professors and 6 lecturers. 4 professors are qualified (associate) supervisors for PhD students in accounting. All faculty members graduated with a doctorate or master’s degree in international-reputation universities over the world, and possess professional qualifications and extensive industry experience. 


The DAcc only offers one programme, i.e., BBA (Hons) in Accounting Programme. The Programme adheres to the concept of whole-person education and cultivates high-quality accounting professionals for the country and society. It provides students with a critical learning experience guided by professional principles. It aims to set up and improve its courses for the future, to meet the needs of the development of modern information science and technology. Following the accounting educational philosophy, the Programme develops and improves the curriculum and pedagogical systems based on international professional standards. Closely connected with professional practices, the Programme has been accredited by internationally renowned professional bodies, including the Hong Kong Institute of Certificated Public Accountants(HKICPA), the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK), and CPA Australia.


The DAcc is committed to enabling students to master the fundamental principles and knowledge of accounting, as well as various practical skills related to accounting. To cultivate globally-minded and multiple-disciplinary talents in accounting, auditing, finance, investment and taxation to achieve top-quality socio-economic developments in China, particularly in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Department of Finance and Economics

The Department of Finance and Economics (DFE) offers 3 programmes – Programme of Finance, Programme of Applied Economics and Programme of Business and Analytics. The Programmes of Finance and Applied Economics were established since the founding of BNBU. With our international acknowledged curriculums, outstanding personnel and interactive teaching mode, DFE aims to prepare our students to become all-round business talents with international visions. In 2021, Programme of Applied Economics was certified by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province as one of the Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Programmes.


Besides teaching, DFE invites professionals from the industries to give speeches to students, providing them with insights of real business world and career advises. The Department also encourages and helps students to take part in various industrial competitions, such as HSBC Business Case Competition, CFA Institute Research Challenge, etc. Up to date, more than 4,000 graduates of DFE have become competent professionals and leaders in different industries and sectors.


DFE now has more than 1200 students and 49 staff. Our staff graduated from famous institutes around the world, equipped with excellent academic qualifications and extensive industry experience before joining BNBU.


Department of Management

The Department of Management (DM) currently offers five undergraduate programs: Management of Human Resources, Marketing Management, e-Business Management and Information Systems, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Digital Media Management.


At present, there are over 700 students enrolled in the programs offered by DM.  DM provides all- rounded business education and academic training to develop critical thinking and analytical skills, which will prepare students for further study or career in the business/management field of their interests. In addition to attending classes, students can also participate in academic researches and business competitions organized by the department. Students of DM have won many prizes in domestic and international competitions, such as those related to scientific research, various academic disciplines, entrepreneurship and innovation.


Faculty members of DM possess extensive teaching and practical experience accumulated from all over the world. At present, DM has more than 40 full-time teachers, with more than 90%  holding doctoral degrees from overseas first-class universities (e.g., University of Oxford and National University of Singapore). In total, there are 55 teaching members serving as course convener, course instructors, assistant instructors and academic advisors to offer students a comprehensive learning experience.
