After four transformative years, UIC has bestowed upon me not only the accumulation of knowledge, but more importantly, the confidence to confront unknown challenges. I am profoundly grateful to our mentors who embodied the "Whole Person Education" philosophy through their subtle influence - not merely imparting formulas and theories, but guiding us with open-mindedness to explore multidimensional possibilities of life. The university environment consistently encourages independent thinking, prioritizing the discovery of one"s authentic aspirations over rote learning, while nurturing the initiative to proactively pursue and persistently strive for personal goals.

Under the motto of "In knowledge and in deeds, unto the whole person", I sincerely wish every incoming UIC student abundant growth and daily joy. May you shape your university life into your ideal version, savoring and enjoying these remarkable four years in your unique way. May every UICer carry forth the courage cultivated in this nurturing soil, charting innovative trajectories within the world's coordinate system that bear your distinctive imprint.

I still remember in the old town campus, due to the shortage of seats in library, UICER would line up early before the opening of the library. The long queue lined up to the downstairs square, which was very spectacular and a wonder of UIC. Thanks to the strong learning atmosphere of UIC and the education mode that emphasizes students' personal growth, my four-year undergraduate life has laid a solid foundation for my further study and career. When talking about UIC, I usually think of liberal arts education, compact learning pace and various ways of showing learning outcomes. Liberal arts education aims to develop students' learning ability in different areas of knowledge. The broad spectrum of knowledge is emphasized in nowadays career, and the ability to quickly learn different areas of knowledge will make you more competitive. The framework and learning methods what I learned from UIC enable me to better cope with the challenges in my current work. The ability to work under pressure and plan in advance has also been exercised under the tight learning rhythm. I can reasonably arrange my work under high pressure in my current investment banking work. Various group discussions and presentations have also cultivated my ability of efficient external presentation and communication, which is still very useful for me. I am very lucky to choose UIC for my bachelor study.

Reflecting on my four-year journey at UIC, what I find most memorable and cherishable is the humanistic atmosphere of UIC. Not only did it provide me with professional knowledge, but it also helped me develop a well-rounded personality. The open dialogue between students and teachers was highly encouraged. Our teachers were more than just academic advisors; they guided us on the path of life. Under the liberal art education system, students were nurtured to think independently and communicate openly. The dialogues and discussions among classmates often sparked intellectual collisions and resulted in harmonious collaboration. These unforgettable experiences and wealth have given me confidence in dealing with job hunting, further studies, and other life choices. I sincerely wish UIC all the best and hope that my successors can find their life direction at UIC.

When I wrote this graduation speech, my thoughts always drifted back to this spiritual fertile ground that accompanied our four-year college youth inadvertently. I made a very correct decision to choose UIC as an institution and Finance major four years ago. Here, I have met professors who have been kind to me, met close friends with whom I will work together during my whole life, and also wrote every story in the past four years in my own way. Four years have passed in vain, but the fetters between us and UIC are far more than that. We look forward to helping our alma mater's vigorousness in a new way in the future, and we also look forward to the future schoolmates participating in this spiritual fertile land and depicting their own splendor on this beautiful picture scroll.

As the biggest advantage of UIC, the English teaching has given me a new experience, so that my previous English knowledge can be displayed orally. Behind the whole English teaching and broad knowledge system is a sound personality that runs through our life. Whether you are the newcomer who is about to enter the ivory tower or the parent who wants your children to stand out, UIC is a choice worth considering.

The course design of the finance major not only gave me an in-depth understanding of the financial system but also enriched my knowledge in management, accounting, business communication, business ethics, etc. In addition, the strong faculty has also benefited me a lot: most of our teachers are not only academically successful, they also have rich practical experience in the financial industry in China, Hong Kong and overseas. It is precise because of their rich and wonderful experiences and stories that make the otherwise boring classroom vivid and interesting.

The four years of university are fleeting. I think the most important things I have learned are mentality, stress resistance, and communication skills. I used to be a perfectionist who was very anxious, and I was not able to resist frustration and stress. UIC's learning environment is very stressful. Only by being calm and not anxious can we handle things one by one, and gradually develop a calm mind.
