Three FBM scholars rated world's top scientists in some fields

    

FBM's three scholars have been ranked the world's top scientists in some fields of study by Research.com, an international education portal.

Research.com's best researchers rankings are lists of leading scholars in a wide range of areas, created using an analysis of around 170,000 scholars determined from various bibliometric data sources. Position in the ranking is based on a researcher's D-index (Discipline H-index), which includes exclusively publications and citation values for an examined discipline.


The Three FBM scholars are: Provost and Chair Professor in Information Systems and Business Analytics Prof Patrick Chau; Dean of Faculty of Business and Management Prof Liu Wenbin; and Acting Dean of Faculty of Business and Management Prof Adolf K.Y. Ng. They are named in the fields including Mathematics, Business and Management, Social Sciences and Humanities and more.


Prof Patrick Chau is ranked in the top 700 in the world in their respective fields. Furthermore, Prof Patrick Chau and Prof Adolf K.Y. Ng are ranked in the national top 60.


FBM has an international staff with lecturers and professors from around 13 countries and regions. Faculty members of all the departments have studied or worked abroad, with nearly 92% owning doctoral degrees. FBM's scholars have provided students with high-quality academic resources and advanced teaching methods while continuing to make new breakthroughs in the field of research.
