About the speaker

Dr. Wang Yitong got his bachelor degree and master degree in Tsinghua University, and received his Ph.D. degree in Decision Science from the Irvine school of Business, University of California. He joined Alibaba in 2019 as the Mechanism Design Director of the Platform Governance Department, responsible for analysis of market governance data, mechanism design, and analysis of economics, data science and strategy in the Ali Ecology. His papers were published in top academic journals, e.g., Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Experimental Psychology: General. He also served as the associate editor of Decision Analysis of the journal INFORMS. He received the C.W. Park Young Contributor Award from the American Society of Consumer Psychology (SCP).
