Abstract of the Lecture:

Covid-19 has a huge impact on the global economy. In this lecture, Professor Chong will share with his views on how the pandemic has affected the economies of China and the world. He will also discuss the implications of the quantitative easing if the US on global asset markets. 

About the Speaker:

Professor Chong's main research area is financial econometrics. He has published over 800 articles in international journals and newspapers covering a wide spectrum of topics in Econometrics, Finance, Mathematics, Psychology, Education and the Chinese Economy. Professor Chong ranks top 37th worldwide in theoretical econometrics, top 1% in terms of number of distinct works and top 5% economists worldwide (RePEc). His papers are published in reputable international journals. Professor Chong is dedicated to community service. He provides economics training to government officials of China and Hong Kong.
