Abstract

In a highly competitive and rapidly changing market, entrepreneurship is a constant struggle. To succeed, entrepreneurs must be able to monitor, understand, and adapt to their business environment. During this Business Talk, Laurent Le Pen will share his experience as an entrepreneur in China and explain the different challenges he faced during his career in the high-tech consumer goods industry. He will also share how those experiences led him today to develop products for senior consumers and leverage a new and upcoming trend known as the Silver Economy.

About the Speaker

Mr. Laurent Le Pen is a Tech entrepreneur, Founder & CEO of Omate - a hardware and software company that designs wearable tech and IoT solutions for people who need protection. Laurent is also the co-founder of Oclean - a next-gen oral care tech startup based in Shenzhen that has won many international design awards. Graduated from ISAAP France and a 500 Startups alum (Omate Batch 13), Laurent has been working in the telecom industry since 2005 and lives in Shenzhen, China since 2007. Laurent has in-depth knowledge of advanced wireless technologies, electro-mechanical components and strategic alliances in both enterprise and consumer electronics. On top of that, Laurent is also a board member of La French Tech Hong Kong Shenzhen and runs a Wearable / IoT professional group on LinkedIn with over 35,000 members.
