Conduct Research

Faculty members at the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM) can utilize the Behavioural Lab in two primary ways: conducting research independently or with support from our lab personnel.

For FBM Faculty:

  • We strongly recommend that you create a researcher account on the lab management system, which allows you to conduct your research independently, to recruit participants, reserve lab space, schedule sessions and etc., Our lab manager will provide you with comprehensive training during your initial setup. The lab is equipped with various resources to assist in your research, and access to these will require prior training. Please contact the lab manager to arrange this, and we will respond within 24 to 48 hours.

  • If you do not have a researcher account, our lab manager can assist by managing your study through the admin account. However, you are still required to complete the necessary training and sign the safety responsibility letter before conducting any research.

Students or researchers from outside of FBM are also welcome to use the lab facilities.

  • For Non-FBM Affiliates: To conduct research in our lab, you must collaborate with a faculty member from FBM. The internal collaborator is expected to be involved in the entire process during the experiment. In cases where this requirement is not met, fees may be charged for the use of resources and personnel support. Both internal and external users are required to sign a safety responsibility letter and take full responsibility for lab safety.

  • For Students: Before being granted access to the lab, you must first obtain approval from your supervisor. The supervisor is responsible for submitting the lab booking request on your behalf. Both the supervisor and the student must sign the safety responsibility letter and will be held accountable for ensuring lab safety.
