Introduction

The BBA (Honours) in Management of Human Resources (abbreviated as MHR) aims to prepare future leaders with a strong business acumen to be change agents to drive value for a better tomorrow both for themselves and for all. We offer a deep commitment to the “whole-person” development by immersing our students in meaningful and life-transformative learning experiences throughout their four-year undergraduate studies, with an aim at invigorating their creativity and strength to enable them to positively influence and change the lives of many people, and at supporting them in realizing their dreams.

Our MHR major exposes our students to a variety of management perspectives by weaving a coherent curriculum encompassing theories and practices in strategic management, human resource management (abbreviated as HRM), talent development, leadership and change, organizational culture and cross-cultural HRM, labour law and relations, and employee engagement and performance management. At the core of the MHR major is coursework with an emphasis on strategic thinking, leadership and value creation, and sustainability and agility. Drawing on key HRM and leadership theories, students will learn to act as strategic partners, lead for creativity and innovation, motivate and influence others for success, facilitate teamwork and partnership, and initiate and drive changes to enable their organisations to thrive in today's dynamic, global, and competitive environment.
