Pursuing Graduate Studies

We call on our students to set high goals and excel, to surpass limits and to rise to the complexities and challenges of the 21st century. Our programme expands the academic opportunities for our students by boosting their fluency in English as a working language, broadening their understanding of critical global issues, and building up their crosscultural awareness and interpersonal skills, in order to afford our graduates the competencies necessary for academic advances and successes in their postgraduate studies. Moreover, our programme adopts a curriculum structure modeled on the liberal arts education tradition, which allows our students to take courses across the broad array of disciplines in UIC. By cultivating such an openness in our approach, we offer our students a strong base for life-long learning as well as an immediate vantage point to start their broadest possible intellectual journey in an area of advanced studies of their choice.

  • will exhibit language and cultural skills needed to further their graduate studies overseas;

  • will recognize social dimensions in human attitudes and behaviour and their implications in organizational settings; and

  • will be able to research business or HR related issues and problems in the competitive global marketplace.

A considerable majority of our MHR graduates choose to further their studies in universities in China and abroad.
