KPMG Graduate Recruitment Talk at UIC

KPMG, one of the Big Four accounting firms, was invited to come to UIC for the second time to deliver the 2019/20 Graduate Recruitment Talk on November 26, 2019. The guests of KPMG China introduced the firm, career experience sharing and job application procedure to students. It attracted over 100 student participants.

At the beginning of the talk, Ms. Cheryl Xie, the HR manager of KPMG Guangzhou Office, asked the students a few questions in an easy and pleasant way, which aroused everyone's interests and thoughts about their career development.

The following was the talk from Ms. Maria Lee, Senior Partner of KPMG Macau office and Audit Partner of KPMG in China. Ms. Lee briefed the students on KPMG’s business, diverse services and future development directions. Ms. Lee also shared her career path and success at KPMG as well as the experiences of obtaining the professional qualifications with students. She believes that maintaining the habit of life-long learning will help your personal development. Maria is also a member of the DBM Advisory Committee. This is the second time she came to UIC to give career talk to students.

The second speaker, Ms. Selina Ieong, shared her work experience with the students. She believes that good communication skills, mutual trust with colleagues and respect different culture are important factors for completing tasks efficiently. Ms. Ieong is the Partner of KPMG Macau Office.
