About the Speaker

Formerly the Compliance Director and National Director, Independence-China of a Big Four accountancy firm, Dr. Tang had also previously worked as Assistant Director, Specialist Practices of a professional body, and in the financial management policy, accounting, and tax policy and compliance areas in the Treasury Department of an Australian State. He had also worked in Hong Kong as Legal Counsel of a listed company which was a blue chips conglomerate at the time, and the Director & Head of Legal & Compliance of an intermediary licensed with the Securities & Futures Commission. In relation to community work, he served as a member of the Finance & Audit Committee of the Hong Kong Examinations & Assessment Authority, and of the Finance Management Committee of the Hong Kong Management Association (“HKMA”), and a HKMA Best Annual Reports Awards Panel Adjudicator.

Dr. Tang is a qualified accountant and solicitor in Hong Kong, Australia and the UK.
