Thriving in a fulfilling career

Our major in MHR is more than a degree - it is the preparation of leaders who transform people into truly champions and great teams to help their organisations to win championships in the competitive global economy.

In the current fast-paced world marketplace, the increasing complexities within the competitive environment, the speed of innovation, the burgeoning of virtual teams in times of changes, and the increasing societal concern for problems such as occupational safety and work-life balance have all the more exacerbated the war for talent, and thus rendered a strong demand for HR professionals to design and lead efficacious HR strategies and programmes to galvanize the potential of their greatest assets - people - to create business success. The growing consensus that business successes can often be attributed to not only having the best people but also taking good care of them has in the past decade expanded employment opportunities in China and overseas for MHR graduates in both quantity and prominence. For example, HR professionals not only are tasked with staying up-to-date with ever-changing employment laws to ensure compliance, but also must lead vigorous HR programmes to enable organisational changes to support management and employees in their joint-effort to achieve strategic organizational goals.
